Buzzing sound instead of starting...
I have had my TSX for about a month. A few times I have experienced a buzzing noise when I try to start my car. It doesn't happen frequently enough for me to tell exactly what conditions are expected for it to happen, but I do remember that most of the time it is at night . I go to turn the key and instead of starting, I get a low volume buzzing. I'm scheduled to take my car in next Saturday. Anyone know whats up?
Thanks...
Thanks...

No clutch, it's an automatic.
Hmmm... Battery? The car is new, I dont even have my license plates yet.
The buzzing seems to be coming from the steering column, maybe a loose connection somewhere... any more ideas?

Someone stole "My Garage"
Most likely a dying/low-charge battery.
Do you drive very short distances the last time before this usually happens? Have the dealer check the battery.
I've had the same low buzzing sound from the steering column when my batt. was dead from leaving the radio on for an hour on a cold day while working inside the car. Needed a boost and everything was fine after that.

Hmmm... the car does start eventually, it would buzz the first time and then start on the 2nd try. The drives weren't particularly short. I'll have the battery checked anyways.

just happened again this morning. the car has been parked since 7pm the previous day. i go to turn the key at 10am this morning and nothing happens. no buzzing and no engine start, so i let go and try again. this time around, the engine starts, but as im about to let go of the key, i hear the buzzing for about 1 sec.

took my 05 TSX in today so that they can look at the problem. after telling the assistant service manager about it, he said he doubts it is the battery but will have it checked anyways. so now im driving a 06 TSX till monday!

update: got my car back, you guys know what you're talking about. they said that the only thing found was that the battery failed a load test, so they put a new battery in.
thanks for the heads up

you have the same problem as my car, , but the problem never happened ,when i was at the dealer. so they can not fix it for me. i heared that ,the problem was caused by the switch in the fuze box. if you fixed next time , just tell me .

i havent got the buzzing in awhile (last time that happened was about 2 weeks ago), if it starts up again, ill have them look at it again and keep the switch in the fuse box in mind.
