Busted passenger side A/C/ vent... and...

Okay so I accidentally destroyed the passnger side a/c vent i my fiance's 04 tsx. So here are my questions:

1. Any instructions on dash part removal? (there is a rattle basically behind the gauges or behind the middle a/c vents that is driving us crazy)

2. Any instructions or part numbers for the passenger side a/c vent?

I really goofed up so i just want to see if I can fix it myself or how much I am going to get stuck for at the dealer.

Thanks!

Is it the passenger side vent closest to the door or the one in the middle of the dash directly above the radio?

hmm how did you bust it? (got pics)

on one of my first attempts to install my navi, i was tearing apart the whole dash.. i too broke the vent.. but it reassembles pretty easily... luckily i didn't literally break it.
for the rattle u may be able to just bring that into the dealer for a fix. (if warranty is still current)

Well it's busted in that the entire face - the part with the white writing or drawing is off and there's a pile of "slats" on the floor. Nees a new vent I believe.

I'm speaking of the rightmost vent - the one closest to the passenger door window.

I'll check it out later today - think it's going to the dealer though beccause it has a rattle I'd like to get figured out as well.

Hmm, there's bunches of threads here in the problems and fixes about rattles. Maybe do a search and see if any describes yours? Most of them are pretty easy fixes.

As for the vent, yeah it's probably going to need a replacement. Have you counted the slats to make sure they're all there and none of them fell back into the duct? Not sure how big the opening is, but that could cause a really annoying rattle down the road if any did. Before going to the dealer I'd probably try a junk yard to see if you can get one from there. Could be a huge money saver. And let's face it, junk yards are fun!

Well they already ordered the vent now so I'm pretty much committed on that front. The rattle is sort of behind the gauges to behind the nearest central A/C vent. I just bought a new car a few weeks ago from the same dealer so I think they are going to try and take it easy on me a little.

I'll check the rattle threads out though. Thanks for the help guys!
