Burns Oil

I bought my TSX 6 months ago. I checked the dipstick after four months, the oil was below the lower mark, so I added a qrt of oil (only 3200 miles). Then, I checked again after 500 miles, oil decreased a little bit.
Does any of you experiencing the same problem?

This is normal. Your TSX will burn a little oil while it's breaking in.
Also, if you Vtec, you will burn a little oil too.

is there a recommendation on which oil to add with that low of miles on it?

I need to find out since I'm going on a long trip this weekend....

I took my car to the dealer and they changed the oil. Then they told me to come back after 1000 miles to see how much oil it will burn.

My car burned a full quart of oil to my first oil change at 5000 miles. Since then not a drop.

I would recommend that you start to take the car through the upper RPM range to help seat the rings. If this has been done, you should be fine. It is very normal to burn some oil the first 5,000 miles or so. This is typical for break-in. Many people with the 2.4L experience this and it stops when switching to a low volatile synthetic around 5,000 miles or so. Give it some time.

They're doing an oil consumption study. Make sure YOU BE THERE. If they find out abnormal oil consumption, they WILL fix it under warranty.

>1qt oil/ 1000 miles is considered excessive.

I did that test on mine, and when driving smoothly for fuel economy, I drank 1 1/3L of oil during 4000km. But driving it hard, I'm right at 1L/1500km.
