Brakes squeal

I've been having this problem with my brakes for close to 6 months now, I have a Hawk pads with powerslot rotors and everytime the brakes warm up, they start to squeal whenever I come to a stop, the pads have plenty of life left in them, is there some common cause for this that i'm unaware of?

Thanks

I have the same problem with the same setup. It's done it since the day they were installed.

By "Did you grease them" I'm really hoping you mean "Did you apply the anti sieze compound between the pads and the shim?"

That could be the problem. My 82 Accord with a factory brake set up squealed like nothing I've ever heard before. My sister's (much newer) Civic did the same thing when she had it. And my other sister's 05 Civic does it. I really just think its a Honda thing.

I've only got 13k on mine and it seems to have developed an odd brake (at least I think it's brake related) noise as well. Its very intermittent so I haven't taken it to the dealer to have it looked at. Anyway, it randomly makes a squealing/whooping noise. To be honest, I thought it was something on the radio the first time I heard it. And it only does it when I've been driving around in town a lot. Anybody ever heard of that?
