brake replacement

The brake is making noise. The metal strip indicator is scratching the disc. This is my third set of pads. (I have 100,000+ miles. changed it once at 50,000) So, I get another set of pads from the dealership.

I am surprised to see that the front pads are like new this time. But the rear pads are gone.

Is this normal?

When I changed the pads last time, the front pads were like 2/3 gone and the rear pads were completely gone. This time, otoh, was that the front were like 1/5 gone but the rear were completely gone.

Don't tell me that the original pads from the factory are different from the OEM pads from the dealership???!!!!

Its normal for the rear pads to wear faster than the front on the TSX. Is been reported in a number of threads. I don't know why they would wear at different rates relative to the fronts though.

I asked my friend about this. He said that it might be the ESP was engaging the rear brake to balance the car.
