Bluetooth issue

I have an 08 TSX and I think my handsfree bluetooth isn't working quite right, and yes my phone is supported. People are having problem hearing me when I'm talking, going over 20mph.
They say they hear loud road noise and my voice keeps cutting off. Also, they said they hear my voice like I'm talking really far away from the mic. If I'm going on the freeway and if I talk with my normal voice level, people can't hear a thing. I have to literally shout and still they can't clearly hear.
What is wrong with my handsfreelink? Is there any way to adjust the mic volume? Should I go to the dealer and see what they would do? Anyone experienced this problem of other end not hearing clearly??
Stupid California started the hands-free law and before the law was being enforced, I disabled the bluetooth because no one could hear me. Any help would be appreciated.

I concur, take it to the dealership. Nobody can tell the difference between when I'm on the Handsfreelink or on the phone itself. It sounds like a problem with the mic or the DSP not filtering out the road noise.

okay thanks guys. I guess I was the only one with this problem. I will take it to the dealership this weekend and see what the problem is.

I have the same issue with my wife's 2007 TSX. Did the dealer fix this problem.

I too am having awful sound quality on the other end - TSX 2007. About half the people I call say it sounds awful. I also have a Motorola BT speakerphone ($30) that hangs on the visor and sounds great to the other person. I have made calls to my home answering machine and recorded both Acura HFL and Motorola speaker and have recorded each while sitting in a parking lot and while driving on hwy at 60. The sound quality difference is clear to me, but the Acura service manager claims he can hardly hear any difference (I brought him my home answering machine and made him listen). More fuel for the fire - I took the Moto speaker and clipped it to the passenger side visor and it STILL sounds better!

I had the dealer replace the microphone in the roof zone, not realizing that this was NOT the HFL controller. No improvement. In fact I am now having controller issues such as intermittent failure to pair and sometimes not terrminating BT connection when I turn off ignition (and I'm not currently in a call).

I am baffled to hear that many people think the HFL system is fine - that the people they call are able to understand them.

My phone is on the approved list as well, but I think different settings on the phone may cause issues. Try toggling some of your phones bluetooth features, like echo control or audio boost. The phone may be messing with your audio before sending it to the HFL.

With phones its just a matter of what type of bluetooth technology it uses. If your phone uses 2.0 and higher or A2DP then you shouldn't have a problem. i know on the '06 the mic is by the ignition which is a good place for it at high speeds. Mine doesn't give me any issues at all and i have an iPhone 3GS. I also have a '08 Pathfinder and the mic is above your head next to the cabin lights which gives me issues when driving high speeds. So basically unless the mic is in the same position like my pathfinder then it shouldn't give you any issues. take it to the dealer and see what they say.

On my 06, the mic is by the map lights/sunglasses holder up above on the ceiling. The cabin thermometer is by the ignition (so that the climate control can compare interior temperatures to outside temperatures).
