Auto garage door opener doing some WEIRD things

Hey all, got my brand new 2008 TSX on Saturday... I love it so far except for one weird quirky thing about the garage door opener. The good news is the button in the car works. The bad news is now the other remote controls dont' work, AND the button directly connected to the thing doesn't work. When I tried to reset the thing by redoing the stuff the manual said, the garage door started going up and down even when I didn't touch the system.

It doesn't seem like it's a rolling code thingy, because it doesn't do the requisite flashing lights to indicate it. Anyone know what's going on? It's pretty annoying. Thanks for the help!

hrm...u probably erased the codes from the older ones. I had the same issue. You have to look for instructions how to program them all, i think most of them only store a few remotes, mine was 2 or 3 so i ended up loosing my remotes too.

as acn said, the codes from the remotes will be erased
look at the door openers manual and reprogram the remotes as directed

Mystery Solved!

OK so I did more troubleshooting:

I changed the code on the garage door opener itself. Then the hardwired button worked.

I changed the code on the remote, and the garage door immediately closed. But then the hardwired button stopped working. And then the remote stopped working too.

Well it turns out button on my remote control was stuck... which explains why the hardwired button didn't work and why the garage door was going up and down on its own. Apparently it had gotten stuck when I was programming my car's button. So everything works great now!
