Attention people with Parchment interior

i need a little help here. i was riding around with Virus7 the other night and i noticed his car has a black peice of trim made of either rubber or plastic that is at the very front edge of the headliner. it touches the windshield.
he has the quartz interior and i have parchment.
can i get a couple replies from folks with parchment interior to see if any of you have this molding in your car?
i called the parts department and they dont show any such part, so this means it's probly part of the headliner. perhaps they changed the headliner at some point in production or parchment interiors dont come with it.

if any of your Quartz interior people have the trim can you reply? it would be interesting to see if there is somthing common between the trim and the color.
thanks

Quartz interior here - no black trim piece on edge of headliner. Mine was an early build number though - #370.

I have a parchment interior. I don't think I have that rubber piece.

Yes, its there

Mine has it. It feels like rubber, about 1/2-inch wide, runs along the front edge of the headliner and makes contact (sometimes) with the windshield. It appears to be part of the headliner (i.e. not a seperate piece) When I felt it it didn't seem to be affixed to the roof. I could pull it slightly away from the roof and insert a finger between it and the roof.

ebony here (but as mentioned the HL is quartz) and no rubber strip. I wish it did have the strip. The HL edge seems very rough and unfinishsed.

#7610 - 8/23
