So it seems my TSX has a suspension rattle of some sort.

Over bumps, it rattles like a swingarm or sway bar linkage or shock mount is loose.

I have narrowed it down to most likely the front right wheel, by going over he same bump with only one side of the car, back and forth. It only makes this noise when driving over a bump with the right side of the car.

Anyone have any familarity/guidance/fix for this so that Im more armed for the inevitable battle Im going to have with the dealer who is going to look at the car for ten seconds and then give me the "cant replicate", "its normal" line of ca-ca?

I have the exact same rattle. Let me know what you find out. I am happy to hear someone else has this problem. I can only hear it if the car is quiet inside. Seems like I did not notice this until I had an oil change. Maybe that will help.

I believe I have had the same problem and I posted a while ago. My front driver's side suspension makes like a popping noise whenever I go over bumps. I brought it to the dealer and they said they tightened the strut bar and the problem went away for a little while and then it came back. The strut bar is definitely tight, but the sound is still there. They can't seem to figure out what the problem is.

Not sure this is the same problem. The sound is not a popping sound, but more of a faint rattle as if something is loose. I will check the strut bar just the same.

Sheesh...you guys are pushy!!

Went for a ride with the technichian. Small bumps and crases in the road at about 15MPH was where the noise was most noticeable.

OK, turns out is was the brake caliper. The right front caliper is a bit loose on its mount and vibrates going over bumps. This was verified easily becuase going over the bumps with pressure on the brake, the noise went away. So try that. Go over some bumps that cause the rattle. Then go over them again, this time driving with two feet with slight pressure on the brakes. See if the noise is still there.

Or...do this....put the car up in the air with stands (on on a lift). Bang on one wheel hard with your fist. Find the wheel making the noise. Then, grab a hold of the caliper for that wheel (from underneath the car) with one hand and bang again on the wheel with the other hand. Noise go away? If so, its your caliper. This is what the tech did after our test ride.

Props to Island Acura in Wantagh, NY for taking the time to diagnose properly.
