Exclamation alignment problem

Ok, so here's the story. Back in May '06, I got into a little mishap and I hit the curb going about 60mph+. Both the front and rear driver's side rims smacked the curb. Rims were damaged and the alignment was way out of wack.

The rim repair for both driver side rims were $200, and I took the car to my mechanic and he said the car is fine, just do the alignment and the car is good to go.

I got the car aligned at the dealership and it was much better but still a bit off. The car is pulling to the left. So I took it back again and they re-did the alignment, it was better but still off. I decided to live with it.

About 2 months later I cross-rotated my tires and the alignment was PERFECT! but now the balancing was way off. I took it to Sears for a lifetime balancing. Now the balancing is still off, my stearing shakes (not when I brake). I took it back to Sears, and they did the balancing in front of me and the machine shows that the tires are perfectly balanced, but when i start driving, the balancing is off, the steering shakes.

I cross-rotated the tires back again and the balancing is fine but now the alignment is off again.

I'm so fed up of this issue, I want to sell the car and get something else. I really like my car, but I just can't win. Anyone got any suggestions on what I should do?

What kind of balancing is sears doing for you? There is a balancing machine out there that some tire shops use that "road force" balances your wheels and it really makes a difference. If all else fails, go to tirerack.com, pick out some new wheels and tires and your problem should go away. Good luck!

Honda and dealership recommend balancing with the tires on the car. Maybe that is what road force is. Dealership says they balance with the tires on the car.

Sounds like it may be the tires. Were they damaged?

tires don't seem damaged. However if it is something internal, I don't know.
