for 2 days. wtf

i came home today and saw the driver-side map light on. turned it off, started the car. it maybe took an extra crank but it started.

would anyone happen to know if this is going to have a notable impact on the oem battery, which is pretty crappy to start out with?

 

no. go drive the car for 15+ minute, and it will be recharged properly

 

It's been a long time since I left mine on but I thought they turned themselves off after a while?

 

Not the map light thou.......

 

drive on the highway for like 10-15 min.. thats what your alternator is for...

 

Replace them with LED's. They draw less current.

 

haha. i was thinking about the LED swap for the whole cabin.

I'm not sure if changing to LED is such a great idea. It's not as bright at regular light bulbs and since it's called a map light, you'd really want to be able to see a lot.
