I was driving my TSX earlier this evening and noticed a funny thing happening to my brakes. I was making a right turn up a little incline into a parking lot and had my foot on the brake. All of a sudden I get this shuddering feeling coming from my brakes like I had warped rotors. The strange thing is that I positively know that I do not have warped rotors and it seems like the ABS braking system was turning off and on as I was turning right and going up the small incline. Anyone experience this problem in their TSX? Kinda freaked me out since my car is only 2.5 months old.

 

Your wheels were about lock up on that tight turn w/ brakes on, and the ABS came on to prevent it. Sounds totally normal to me.

I find this happens quite often when there's water on an intersection... the inner wheel will definitely lock up with brakes applied, but the car prevents a spin by working on it "gently".

you can't brake as much while turning as you can in a straight line because the wheels can't grip
