i dont know y others have problems with their tsx. i left mine stock. and i got it for a year and two months now. with 15k miles. the only problems i got so far are...
moonroof rattle a little when is fully close, they put seal tape around the metal edge, rattle by A piller between driver door and front windshield, they cleaned and injected something into the blk rubber weather seal around the drivers door.. that's it.

Your post is like saying, "Automobiles don't need warranty because I kept my car complete stock."

Certain number come as defects, most do not.

my one year old completely stock tsx has only been back to the dealer for the 1) windshield rattle, 2) driver window rattle 3) roof light fix and 4) console lights malfunction. It's going back again because the roof light wire now rattles, and the recall.

I definitely haven't experienced such a vast number of problems so

My car has been reliable and problem free, except for the seat sliding thing, but that doesn't really bother me.

Solid as a noisy rock. If the car didn't rattle so much, it would attract more buyers IMHO.

car prices had not gone up that much since the last decade. and car mfr must add more this and that for safety from uncle sam... so they have to cut cost in other areas.. this is how i look at it.. even bmws and mercedes benz, they got a lot more than the tsx.

My TSX was one of the last 2004s produced. I only have 150 miles on it, but I don't hear one rattle or squeak over bad pavement, just the thump from the tires. I guess it gets worse over time??? My wife's 2003 Accord Coupe with 18.000 miles is still solid as a rock...

In comparison, my 2001 Audi S4 was a horrible rattle box. Bone stock, and I never did any real modifications to the interior with the minor exception of hardwiring my V1. Anytime I went over bad pavement, it rattled like the entire interior was coming apart. One time the dealer even replaced the entire driver's side interior door panel, but the new one started rattling too. After a while I gave up trying to get it fixed and just lived with it. Not a good thing for a $40K+ car…
