6MT owners: shifter vibration in certain gears?

I must say, Honda did a pretty good job isolating vibrations through the shifter.

That's why I'm a little perplexed when I'm in 3rd and I feel occasional vibrating through the shifter.
I feel it when I'm applying steady throttle, and I want to say during 2k-3k, but then again, that's the usual RPM I drive in.
I don't recall it happening in any other gears.

Anyone else feeling vibration through the shifter?
If so, in which gears?

There is only some vibration on third gear. Unless I'm resting and planting my hand firmly on third, I don't feel anything from the shifter. There should be no reason to rest your hand on 3rd anyway

Anticipating the shift to 2nd or 4th?

Yeah, the vibrating is very slight and not a cause for concern.
Just odd that it's only 3rd, and was wondering if it was happening to anyone else.

you must be pressing pretty hard on the shifter I have to press it way up to feel the vibration. I'm usually more relax when I shift. But if you are not pressing on it, and you feel the vibration, you should take it to the dealer to check it out

nope not me...

I only have 1800 miles (almost 4 weeks old) and have no vibrations. There will be some transferred into the shifter, I am not expecting it to be completely isolated from the engine vibes--it is a manual.

It's unusual to have vibration from the shifter... The shifter on the TSX is connected to the transmission via two cables, not a direct connection on top of the transmisson like some RWD cars. Those two cables are further cushioned by rubber bushings. The shifter housing is also cushioned by four rubber mounts.

i don't notice anything.

is the vibration you're experiencing during shifting, or, while it's in gear you just have your hand on the knob?

i don't touch my shifter unless i'm shifting...

While in gear.

I don't get it.
So no one keeps their hand on the shifter while accelerating quickly?

What do you guys do?
1st, hand off shifter, hand back on shifter, 2nd, hand off shifter, hand back on shifter, 3rd, etc.?????

Sometimes 2nd and 5th above 3.5K but have noticed it's not been doing it lately, or much less so than I've noticed at times in the past.

Accelerating quickly where? Sure you can keep you hand on the shifter from 1 - 3 off the line when going straight. (I do)

But add a turn in there and some banking and my hands like being on the wheel. We got them twisties around here. [and lots of pedestrians who have the right-of-way, by law]

hands on wheel.
