Hey everybody , i have a 04 m/t and when im shifting into 5th gear my rpms are jumping way higher than 4th but when i go into 6th they drop down to where they should be. I dont know if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone knows the problem/solution. Thanks in advance for all the help!

 

If you continue driving in 5th for a few seconds, does the tach still read incorrectly?
