Distortion in speaker

I have intermittent distortion in the right rear door speaker. I have replaced the speaker however the problem persist. The crackling noise comes and goes. I think the factory amp is the source of the distortion.
Dose anyone else have a similar problem with there factory amp.

Do you still have the factory speakers in the rear doors? I have the same intermittent distortion in my driver side front door speaker when I play my iPod music with a lot of base and the sound level is too high. I don't hear the distortion with XM or FM (don't play CDs because of iPod).

It might be time to upgrade the rear door speakers.

I have the samdamn problem I think it has to do with a bad iPod cable or my after market amp the outputs are going bad. Accordig to the person that mounted my music he said it could also be my speakers are going out since thy stock and I have an aftermarket harman kardon tc600 and seems oo powerful for stock speakers
