50,000 what can i do to make it run like new again
i have a ssm 05 auto and i feel like it doesn't drive at full potential
feels a bit sluggish and also wen idling you hear this noise coming from the hood that sounds "tt tt ttt tttt tttt ttt " i dunno how else to describe it without sound but theres definetely something wrong wasnt making that kind of noise b4 and wen im driving it might just be me but i feel like my tires or something when rotating goes "duht duht duht duht" but wen i first got my car it sounded very very smooth and clean
i want to make my car running like new again my friend just got a grounding kit in his used g35 with an intake and he said he really feels the throttle on the pedal and just feels alot healthier would that help ?

what kind of maintainence have you done? If you have changed the filters, do so. Maybe changed some fluids if it's due for a change. Check all the connections under the hood. One of my intake connections became loose between the filter and engine, and the car ran more roughly. I secured it again and it ran perfectly after.
Also, I'm not sure what kinda gas you are putting into your car. You can try putting some clean top-tier premium for a couple tanks and see if it helps.
Synthetic oil to clean out engine deposits maybe?

My 04 has 55k on it, but I just bought it at 48k.
The engine runs so well, that I think it was replaced after the previous owner wrecked it badly enough to cause cross member damage (but never reported it to carfax)
So I really don't have any way of knowing....
+1 for the seafoam, it did wonders for my old prelude

...and I have 70k on my engine (modded up significantly) and it is still a great 4 banger. I say a visit to the dealer for the issues and remember, you are driving a slush box. Sounds like there might be a bit of G35 envy.

05 w/ 60K miles here and it still runs like new. If you've had your car since new and haven't maintained it (sorry, but it kind of sounds that way), that may be coming home to roost. You may want to address the problems before you think about questionable mods. Also, the rotational noise you mention sounds suspiciously like a front wheel bearing.

1. Change air filter (Preferably OEM air filter)
2. Change spark plugs (Preferably NGK Iridium spark plugs)
3. Transmission oil flush (USE ACURA OEM ATF OIL only), 6 bottle required.
A. First drain out the used tranmission oil.
B. Add 3 bottles of the Acura OEM ATF transmission oil and go out for a drive. (Roughly 5 minutes of normal daily driving.)
C. Drain the transmission oil again and add the remaining 3 bottles. Check the tranmission oil level to ensure correct level. Add more if low.
4. When gas tank is low, add 3-4 gallons of 100 octane fule (if available) and drive till empty. This will burn up any engine or carbon build up. Then refuel with typical fuel that you normally use.
5. Change motor oil. (Preferably with full synthetic oil)

i always get 93 octane gas since i got my car brand new most of the time almost always shell v-power and after the first 5000 miles i kept using mobile one synthetic oil and always changed the filter along with it also using mobile one oil filter i did a transmission fluid change used the genuine acura fluid about around 45 k ?had the brakes changed fully rotors pads everything at around 30k (yea i really wore them out probably from heavy traffic) i always had the oil changes done on time i went through a couple tires two of them blew out when i hit two potholes literally just popped and i had em replaced i also had my battery replaced to an aftermarket battery umm other than that i always had my vehicle checked by a friend who became a mechanic and he said it was alright. is there anything else i should be thinking of ?? I also had my air filter changed wen i had my brakes done guy just threw it in.

73k on 2005 Auto/Navi. No general issues yet, have just followed maintainence sch. in owners manual, no tranny flushes or seafoams. 93 octane and drive it hard all the time is all you need to do....think mine runs quicker now than it did new.

get a compression test done.
about the spark plugs though, im prettysure the tsx uses ngk iridiums and they are good till 100k miles so i wouldnt worry about replacing those just yet.
