Talking 2007 B1 oil sensor

Hi all, I recently purchased a 2007 Acura at auction. It was previously owned by Environment Canada. I just had the oil changed in March and now the B1 sensor is telling me that the oil life is just 10%. I don't drive long distances, but even if I did this seems a bit extreme! How do I know if it's just the sensor that's gone wonky?

Did you reset the oil maintenance indicator when you changed the oil?

Not to jack the thread but how much did the TSX run for at the auction? How many miles did it have on it?

Beansi, the person (or you) that changed the oil probably didn't reset the oil reminder in the MID (multi information display). When you change your oil, the maintenance minder doesn't reset itself, you have to manually reset it. I believe you have to hold the "i" button or reset button for like 10 seconds while being in the oil display. Then follow the direction on the screen. Sorry I don't really remember it off the top of my head, but it's in the manual.

Also, it's not really a sensor. It's just a system that calculates how hard you drive your car, ie high rev, high speed, a lot of stop and go, etc. And of course the harder you drive the car, the faster the oil reminder goes down. It doesn't actually look into your engine and take information directly from the oil.

Not really. The oil life on my 06 tsx is at 10% with the code B12. I previously had the oil changed in April (past due) and then in May(also past due)
