2006 tsx code p1734 and p0780

Recently while I was driving the VSA check light and the emissions check light went on. The car also jerked sometime. It is a 2006 with 67000mile automatic TSX. sometimes there is no power when the accelerator is stepped on the car. . If the car is turned of for a couple seconds then turned on again, everything is fine for about 3 min of driving before the above occurs again. I have not taken it to the dealer as of yet, sometimes the light come off too. any idea's on what the problem may be?

OK...both DTC codes are automatic transmission related, your "D" should be blinking too.

P0780: Shift Control System

P1734: Shift Control System; Shift solenoid valves B or C stuck OFF, Shift valves B or C stuck

Honestly, the troubleshooting suggests you are hosed. Make sure the ATF is topped up. If that solves it, you're lucky. Otherwise a fluid change (through strainer to look for metal bits) is suggested as a start and then either replacing the transmission or cracking it open to repair stuck parts if that doesn't help. All the steps require the HDS computer.

Note: P0780 is a warning that another code is stored...that's the P1734.

Just curious have you ever had the transmission fluid changed on this car?
