Hello, I have a 2006 TSX automatic. Car drives great and I experience no noises while driving. However, when I am driving the car, and come to a stop, there is a consistent fast clicking noise coming from the engine area. Sounds like something rattling. As soon as I drive off, sound is gone. If I am idling in park, I do not hear the noise. Only if I'm in drive at at stop. If I am in a drive thru, while I'm stopped ordering, and the car is on drive and my foot is on the brake, the clicking noise is loud. As I let my foot off the brake and roll forward, the sound is gone. Once I'm at a stop again, the clicking is audible. If I put the car in park, the clicking stops.
Steering doesn't seem to affect the noise, it's just while I'm in the drive gear and at a full stop.
I have had a few mechanics look at it, only advice I've really gotten is to replace transmission mounts. I have ordered the mounts and will replace those, but I wanted to get advice from this forum.
No, but I am thinking it's a heat shield, it doesn't make the noise consistently. It's cold in Dallas now and I don't ever hear it, maybe when it gets warmer outside it will return. But the car has been great.
Is it mechanical or some check valves on vacuum systems will. Make a physical noise some power back well with in operation specifications. And I've seen some that make no noise that are dead. Pop hood warm up listen by firewall with finger if the celinoid is bugging out you will feel a light tap tap tap. Acura mechanic's have a (SOP) STANDARDS OF OPERATION AND PROCEDURES and advise to replace some will be just fine. So each case is unique in a way

Cold here in HendersonTX right now as well and I'm still having same symptoms. But like you said, not consistently.. If you are at a red light and you hear it, when you put it in neutral, does it go away? Mine will,.. Car has still been great minus that.
Yes, it will go away if you put the gear in park or neutral. Only in drive will it rattle, but I haven't done anything and haven't heard it in a while. I'm sure when the weather warms up it will return
Forced to fill cats that clog egr that maintenance pressure creates a blow by in threads of advanced cylinders. But a few good ppl I wanted to say GB to .Sincerely (G) Development. <[> Doc Holiday...
