my 2004 rearview mirror doesn't seem as tightly put together as the 2007 loaner car i am driving.

why does this matter you may ask? because my aftermarket stereo rattles the heck out of it which doesn't make for a pleasant sound.

therefor i am thinking about replacing it and wonder if a 2007 rearview mirror would work because maybe they updated that part and the newer ones are just put together better.

anyone?

 

my 06 vibrates like crazy also and that was with the stock system. it doesn't rattle or make any noise, it vibrates and everything looks a little blurry through it.

 

yeah i dont care about it shaking and everything being blurry. i actually like that part!

it just seems like the whole assembly is not tight so that it makes a rattle sound. i'm not sure if it was always this way or if my listening tastes have loosened it up.

 

I don't see why it wouldn't work. As long as the voltages are the same.

jigga, i had this same probem when i bought my '04. I found a little torx head screw that had come lose on the mirror. Once i tightened it down, the problem was fixed and i havn't had alose mirror since.
