2005 TSX Left tail light sometimes out

Hi,

My left tail light that should be lighting up when I hit the breaks is doing some strange things.. A few weeks ago I noticed that it wasn't lighting up properly, but in a few days it started to work again out of no where.

Now once again the left tail light is not working again. Has anyone heard of this? I'm not sure if the bulb is loose since I have no other electrical problems. I'm not sure if a recall may apply to this. I have a 2005 TSX.

Thanks!!

i am having some problems kinda like this too....
the inner tail light on the passenger side is out, but the bulb is fine, i checked it by switching the bulbs to the driver side.
so that must be the wiring harness on the passenger side is bad.
but i dont find anything wrong with it when i trace it back to where it was separated from the main cable.

does anyone know what might cause this?
Thanks....

There was a trunk wiring harness recall that was performed on many, many TSX's. Call your dealer to see if the recall has been performed, or, bring it in and ask that they perform it if you know for certain it hasn't. It only takes 5-10 minutes so it should be easy to have them do.

Even if I have an 04 with 65k miles? woould the dealer still honor the recall if i am out of warranty?

It's a safety recall, so they should honor no matter what.

Exactly. Actually, have them check up on the headlight recall (install clips to prevent moisture in headlights) and any other recalls while you're there.
