2004 TSX overheating

Just bought a 2004 tsx with 185k for my 16 yr old daughter. She was sitting in a parking lot with the a/c and the it started overheating. Found out the radiator cap was bad. Filled it up up with coolant and it seems fine. Got it home with the a/c going and after a few minutes the temp went to over half way up. Only the passenger side fan was on. I thought both the fans would be on but not. I don't know if I need to replace the radiator or if the drivers side fan is shot. Any ideas?

uninstall radiator and give it a good flush with hose water.
at that time, inspect for broken plastic bottom, or if it's clogged with anything.

I just checked some paperwork in the glove box the radiator was flushed 11k ago but that was 2 yrs ago. I think I'll replace the radiator just for my peace of mind. I can't have my 16 yr old daughter broken down while I'm at work. Thanks

OK found out the radiator fan isn't working. When I took the fan out found out it's prob the original radiator and it looks like it's seen better days. Ordered the fan and radiator and will be here tomorrow. Will install after work and I'll post how it goes.

Had the same issue a few days ago in my son's 06 TSX (+162K) with the radiator fans. It caused the engine to overheat enough to spit coolant out the cap. He didn't notice or let me know the engine temp was higher than normal causing the A/C condenser not to cool down for a few days early. He just assumed the A/C stopped working with temps +98 degrees. It took a jug of coolant to top off and the repair shop we used in the past was less than 2 miles down the road. New radiator fans, cap, and $500 is what it took to fix. No other damage to A/C, engine block, or coolant system.

Ok installed the new radiator and cooling fan and it runs like normal now. Good thing I can fix things myself. Got the fan for $100 and radiator for$145 from NAPA. A new fan switch and some coolant and we are good to go.
