2004 Lock Problem
Hi I have been having ongoing issues with the dealer not being able to figure out a previous problem on my car and now they have caused a new one. I own a 2004 TSX. My car use to lock the doors automatically when I would put it in drive or reverse and it would unlock the driver door once I took the key out of the ignition. Now the dealer says that my vehicle never did this. The problem started after they changed my seat belt buckle. Is there a way to program my car so that It can automatically lock and unlock.
Sorry I had previously submitted it in the 2nd gen category.

As mskierki said, the first generation ('04-'08) TSX did not have the automatic locking function. (Dunno about the second generation.) I remember seeing threads on the subject, so I just did a search. Here are a couple of those threads. (I see that mskierki posted in one of them.)

ola810, if your '04 really did used to lock its doors automatically, I have to surmise that one of the aftermarket electronic modules (mentioned in the old threads) had been installed in it -- by a previous owner, perhaps. (Don't take this the wrong way, but the other possibility that quickly comes to mind is that you haven't had your TSX for very long and you just think its doors locked automatically before that buckle-replacement job was done.)

Thank you. I have actually had the car since 06 and everyone that remembers getting into my car would hate the fact that only my door unlocked. Is there any way of finding out if the previous owners put that aftermarket electronic module? And could it have gotten damaged when they changed seat belt buckle?
