-10 degrees out Decided to buy Interstate battery for $100
Battery died 5 times this winter I live in minnesota
I bought the interstate 525 CCA battery at least its better than the 410 stock one. I was gunna get the optimal battery to help out with my subwoofer loads but I saw too many bad reviews and decided to go old school.
should I disconnect my 1.2 farad capacitor before I hook up my new battery and let the car run for a few hours then hook it back up?

A capacitor does not generally put a large load on a circuit. Once it's fully charged, which happens in a fraction of a second once power is applied to the circuit, it only draws a small current to maintain the voltage it's holding. Just hook the battery up and go.
