This is my first post in here, and I'm also a newb so bare with me!
I have an 04 TSX and was wondering if anyone else had these problems.
My first problem is 'supposly' a bad tie rod. I got the really bad shaking when I hit 40mph-60mph then after about 65mph it goes away. One mechanic told me that your tie rod shouldn't be able to be moved forward and backward, but another one told me that was ok....I really have no idea what it is.

My 2nd problem, whenever I hit the gas, I get this really loud screaming sound like some kinda animal got stuck in my belt and died..lol i dont know . My uncle works on cars and he told me my belt tensioner is bad, has anyone else ever had this problem before? Does anyone know where I can get a new one?? All advice is appreciated!

About the screaming/squealing noise, I'm having the same problem, but it comes and goes. I recently changed out the old belt to a new Gates drive belt, which improved the squealing mildly. However the tension is not within spec, so I'm guessing the auto tensioner is failing. I have a feeling it'll be soon before it's happening all the time.
Here's the auto tensioner OEM part # 31170-PNA-023. About $89 online.

 

actually, it squeals all the time now. as soon as i start the car it has to run for about 15min before the squealing stops, but as soon as i tap the gas it squeals until i come to a complete stop.
the car has 125k miles ! i know it's crazy. I just bought it in aug. i forget the exact number it had then but it was over 110k. reason the miles are so high is because the 1st owner lived in virgina, im guessing was a busniess man and drove a lot then it went up to new hampshire, then the 2nd owner drove it to pennsylvania..and me just turning 18 wanted a car and bought the first one i saw..
now i know to NEVER buy the first car i see lol

but anyway, i'm getting the belt tensioner fixed today so i'm hoping the resolves one of my problems

I hope you're putting a new belt on with it.

Let us know if changing the belt tensioner solves that particular problem. Like LukeaTron stated above, be sure to change to a new belt too!
