04 MT Shift Knob replacement issues

Hi,

I finished installing my AUXHOND3 the other day (sounds great, btw), and I just can't get my shift knob to screw back on straight. The lettering always ends up facing the passenger seat.

It's not that big a deal, but it does bother me slightly. Any advice on how to put the shift knob back on properly?

Thanks!

You don't just screw the knob down and hope the shift patten will line up. There's a lock nut on the bottom of the knob to lock it in the correct position.

That's what I thought at first, but even when I tighten the lock nut up to it, it can still turn it with my hand.

Maybe I'm just not tightening the lock nut enough?

loosen, raise the lock nut, and tighter the shift knob down onto it again. It shouldn't be that complicating.
