First gear engagement not consistent

'07 with 16k the first gear engagement has been inconsistent for a while now. It goes in, but not smooth. Does anyone have this problem? I brought it to the dealer and the problem could not be replicated.

When i put it in 1st the car is usually stopped or rolling very slightly < 5mph. Sometimes it goes in really easy, others it goes in but feels like its passing over some bumps.

6mt experts chime in!

Normal. You should stop fully and then put it into 1st gear. If you are rolling slightly, there will be resistance. on my car, if you are rolling at 5mph and you put it into 1st, there is a loud banging sound. If I double clutch while moving and then put it into 1st, it goes in smoothly. It's the synchros trying to match your input shaft speed to your 1st gear speed.
