Carbon fiber wrapped carbon fiber?

I can't really hazard a guess, but props to you just for working with the stuff and I hope it goes well. Some nicely placed CF can look soooooo good.

First guess: Window trim? (that would rock!!)

Second guess: Is this the little thing that flips up when the sunroof is open?

here she is....

i bought a stock 06 grille of ebay for $16 and started hacking away parts and filling stuff in with fiberglass and bondo. i got it to look mugen style, but wasnt completely happy, so i sent it to my boy who does some ridiculous CF work to let him play with it. Its not quite finished yet.... it still needs to get some paint, but i'm not exactly sure what i want to paint yet. It will have a black mesh back, and im thinking of painting the trim and the first inch or so in from the trim all the way around white. That way the CF kinda blends into the black mesh... kinda confusing, i know. I dont like the look of random CF on white cars. I think CF thats painted so you can only tell its CF if you really are paying attention is real sick.

Here is a pic of the white trim i was talking about. Its on the temporary grille i am running until this one is complete

So are you going w/ Mugen style w/ no center part (the arrow + A logo)?

If you go for that route, then leave it in original CF color. Can probably black vinyl the roof and CF trunk. Or if you are planning to get CF hood, then paint white on top of the CF to create a subtle yet look @ me style.

this is the idea i kinda had in mind. i had to use ms paint to draw this so it sucks. plus i'm using the touch pad on my laptop so it was a huge paint in the ass. i would also paint the trim piece white. i would use black mesh so the unpainted CF would kinda blend into the mesh. i want to vinyl the roof but i havent found anywhere to buy one single piece to cover the whole roof. all the kits i have seen have a seem and i dont like it. i would love to run a CF hood and trunk but both of those cost a decent amount of money. i have other mods i would much rather do first if I'm going to spend that kind of money.

I seriously don't think the white insides look you're aiming for would look that hot. I think putting in some quality black mesh and mounting the grille as-is (with a very quality cf job, I might add) would look really clean. Then add a black roof overlay as chuson said, and you'd be sitting really pretty.

Props for your innovation, regardless of the solution you end up with. And further props for using a bottle of Jim Beam to prop (lol, pun) the grille up.
