Angry Not for the faint of heart PART II

Me vs. SUV going about 40 MPH... I'll let you figure out who won. TSX's are really safe cars. Hope this never happens to anyone. This baby was totalled...

Obviously you got hit from the rear, but how did the front end get damaged? Were you pushed into another car in front of you? My condolances.

OUCH!!!
Good thing you're OK. How about the driver that hit you?

Did the driver side airbag go off? I can see from the picture that it looks like the passenger side one did. I wonder what's the damage on the SUV.

Eyeballer,

I hope you're ok and that you weren't too seriously injured. If you don't mind me asking, what part of SoCal are you from and where did this accident happen? So like you said, it looks to be a total loss. Are you looking at another TSX?

Wink Thanks!

-Thanks for all the well wishes. They were very much appreciated! Thankfully, I walked away with only some minor bruises, muscle aches and whiplash.

Sorry for the delayed repsonse but here are answers to some of the sent ???'s

-The SUV that hit me was a Honda Pilot. His front-end was dented but he was able to drive away. I can't believe his headlights still worked. The impact pushed me into another car, that's why my front end was damaged.

-For those who said it, "thank God the crumple zone worked!" The more I look at the pics the more I can't believe that I walked away from that one.

-I usually don't carry a digicam with me. The pics were taken when the car was transported from one body shop to another.

-I'm in the South Bay area of So. Cal., more specifically Torrance.

-There's no way I'm switchng car brands at this time. That TSX saved my life... I'm gettin' me another!

Hehe, I call dibs on the complete anti-pollution system, as well as the complete AC system, and while we're at it, the engine, tranny and clutch.

And now I declare this car officially parted!

For the other scavengers, sorry, you'll have to wait for the next wreck!

why would u want the tranny? i assume he had the car in gear, that probably ruined the trasnmission from being hit from behind like that.

Nah, not if it was an MT. If they can handle a clutch drop, they can handle an

Actually the tranny was still good. It was an AT, but I was able to put it in neutral and pushed it to the curb.
