Thumbs up My modified TSX--NEW--work in progress (56k killer)

Hey everyone. Here are the current pics of my car. This is the end result of hours spent by my boyfriend (98 M3) and I working on this project. Today we are currently designing a rear seat removal kit that we'll hopefully be selling once perfected.

Current visual mods are: ADR gun metal 18", 18% Titanium tints, Eibach springs, Shift knob, sparco pedals, black out grill (off eBay brand un known), smoked tails and reflectors, blue interior lighting, Sirius radio, three 10" MTX subs and memphis amp, de-badged etc etc....

The motor remains stock except for a K&N intake. HOWEVER----STAY TUNED---- By the end of July a full upgrade will be (mostly) complete consisting of: Exhaust, headers, pulleys, CAI, computer upgrade, seat removal, racing seats, carbon fiber hood and more... Enjoy

old pic*

Sorry, that grill really doesn't look good. The top hangs down way too far. Maybe it'd look better if the outside was painted.

Also, the rear seats really don't weigh that much. You're not going to save anything removing them, in all I'd guess they weigh < 20lb

Everything looks good! You need to throw 2 of those subs in to fiberglass boxes behind the wheel wells. I just did it to mine and deeeaaamn does it sound good. I have 10's though. 12's would fit.

hate to break it it to the haters, but removing the rear seats had little to do with weight issues and more to do with sound. i know i need a body kit, but thats coming for my birthday and funny, the grill fits better than the stock one. I have Sparco pedals but beware u need to get a pro install on the gas because the stock is mounted on the floor and needs to be custom fitted. I do need a fiberglass box but sound is the last hting im worried about

Yeah, the last thing you should worry about with your speaker is the sound.. Focus on plopping them in a box first.. :p

Seriously though, nice ride.. I like th TSX logo on the center console and the wheels matched to your exterior.. Tre chic..

I wasn't hating, I was actually impressed by what I thought was a race prep. I just didn't know what your application was.

The rear left folding portion weighs 16lb, the right portion weighs 9, the 2 side bolters weigh 3lb each. The bench is 14lb. I must be so strong I didn't notice how extremely heavy these things are

that would be the license plate holder... and I'm not sure how the first pic is looking down, it was almost taken from the ground. if you're going to do something, do it right, you seem to have a fine taste in cars based on what your next one will be, IMO you should improve your grill to finish up the exterior. It'll look really nice w/ the OEM kit.

Here's another pic link

Nice ride, I really like the rims. Do you get any flak from the police about the smoked deflectors and taillights? I just moved out from NJ (used to live there for 23 years) and I know they like to nit-pick about every little thing.

CJams, do you have any photos of the subwoofer job? I was thinking of doing the same to mine.

Thanks!

I'm sure with (3) 12's in a huge box like that it sounds pretty darn good. But if you are concerned with weight then get that huge chunk of particle board out of there and throw in some light weight fiber glass boxes. Not only will you get rid of some weight, but you will open up your entire trunk for use. It most liekly won't hit as hard as that monster box that's in there, but it will sound good. Check out my set up in the A/V section.

I just don't want to spend the money on it right now. In the next month or so im going to be dropping about 4k on my car. As fasr as the smoked tailights, relfectors and tints, no cop has said anything to me, nor have i gotten pulled over for anything. Tints just went on Wednesday and i really haven't driven my car since then but we'll see

I thought the emblem was a screw-on piece?? You don't have to put it on if you don't want to... I remember seeing an acura badge screwed onto the mugen grill

I personally bought the Sparco Pedals she has installed...however the Sparco gas pedal is half the size of the OEM gas pedal and just didn't please me aesthetically. I returned them and purchased the JDM Euro R Set. Everything fits like a glove, but the JDM dead pedal. Now I just need to figure out how to fabricate it...lol

It does not fit the OEM gas pedal...custom install or not~ Unless your "pro" melted the gas pedal and streched it, it is roughly half the size of the stock one.

You can see the stock pedal behind the Sparco one, correct?
