Yup I ordered a carbon trunk:





I can't wait to put it on. There were a couple of other things wrong with the car then just the trunk lid, so the car is at the shop. I also ordered tein ss so as soon as I get the car I am going to drop it. I will post pics as soon as I am done with it.

what were you hit by? it looks like a truck or something really high cuz your back bumper looks completely fine but the trunk got crushed

Its funny........., the same thing happen to me too......, and I have a NHBP as well......, and I also was hit by a larger vehicle..........., a ford van conversion with a metal bumper.

The damage was about the same as well....

And I too am taking the opportunity to install a CF trunk lid......., im getting it installed in a few weeks when it comes in.....

Where did you get yours??? and for how much???

 

well it isnt exactly funny......, more like a coincidence.....

 

now Im just waiting to hit a deer so that i can do the same to the front....

I think that a carbon fiber hood and trunk lid will look good on a NHBP TSX....., what does everybody think.....????

I eventually want to get some rims that match the carbon color in the carbon fiber.... and change the crome finish to a carbon color....., what about that?????......., comments????

 

does anybody know how I could achieve this carbon color on all of the crome pieces??? Is there a process other than painting that can achieve this....., I dont want the color to be flat......

oh yah and my lights didnt break either....., but my quarter panel got tweeked a little......, but it will all be back to normal in a few weeks......, thats what i keep telling myself.....

 

yeah i was hit by a truck with a plow mount on it. I got the trunk from Vis Racing. It was like five something shipped. I get my car back today and I will post pictures on how it looks.

Sorry to hear of the woes - currently there myself.
Now if only there were a replica ducktail in Carbon Fiber, I'd be seriously getting the body shop to declare the bootlid unrepairable.
Mind you, with Indigo Blue, I'd be between two minds as to go generic or silver carbon.

Good luck with the repairs - hope you find a good repairer that'll do the job right, from the off.
