CL Type-S shift knob

I thought the TSX auto shift knob, although nice, looked a little boring so I replaced it with a shift knob from a CL/TL Type-S. I got it off eBay.

I know some of you may think this is ricy, but my previous car was a '01 CL Type-S

So it's not total rice!

same exact one as in the 03 TL-S i drive in. i've always liked the look of it, that "S" is pretty cool looking.

How much did you pay for it?

BTW, I like it.

Re: Re: CL Type-S shift knob

Thanks dude. I got it off eBay for $25 using buy it now. I've seen some auctions for them for $19.99 though. Of course this was after I bought mine. There's always a few auctions up with them.

I thought that Acura decided to not make a Type S TSX or TL.

I definitely like it.....gives it more contrast much like the manual knob. The all black feels nice, but too boring for me.

Yeah I was afraid someone would ask if my TSX was a "Type-S", but so far nobody's asked. Then again, it's only been friends that have been in my car so far and they all know about my previous car. The true test is when someone that doesn't know about my previous CL takes a ride in my car.

Sturm, I just won an Ebay auction for 10.50, but now the seller wants $10 for shipping. That sounds about $5 to high for me. By any chance did your package say how much shipping was?

Damn, that's a good price. I paid $6.94 for shipping but that was to Canada so I had to pay $1.99 extra. The shipping cost my seller charged for US shipping was only $4.95 so it looks like your seller is making a killing off shipping. Hopefully he'll lower it for you.

Here's a link to the auction I won just in case you want it:

I talk to the seller he is going to reduce it to $6.00. So with shipping I am going to pay $16.50.

Here is mine

Congrats on the sweet deal ortiz. I just noticed today that the leather on the Type-S shifter has a different texture that I really like. Didn't really notice until today.
