Because they look crappy or because of the potential damage to the paint underneath?

This was a car that the dealer located for me, and when it showed up it had the flaps installed. They didn't up the price, so I was surprised they left them on....

I've had many Hondas in the past, and I've always put the flaps on in the winter (they do help here in New England) and off for the summer. While they've always been quite dirty underneath, there's never been any hint of rust or paint damage. I was surprised to see some posts on this board that showed damage...I can only surmise that they were installed "loose" and flapped in the wind, or they were installed before the paint had fully cured.

Nice pics!

In regards to the mudflaps if you are thinking of taking them yeah you'll see a difference in the paint over time, but if you plan on leaving them on no one will see the difference.

Mud flaps

If you're going to leave the mudflaps on or be taking them on and off I suggest you get some of the Clear Bra material and install under the flaps.
