where to get 04 ECU

so we all know that the 05 ecu hondata reflash for the tsx is not available and however long it will take nobody knows . . so my question is does anybody know where one can get an 04 ecu . . and i've read that it is compitable with the 05 and somebody even has a supercharger setup with the 04 ecu in a 05 . . i also would like to know does that mean you have to change your car keys as well? or just the ecu and the remote and keys will work with the 04 ecu. (sorry if my grammer is off)

I think a more thorough search is in order if you own an MT. If you own an AT, you'll have to try ebay. Nobody here is selling one as far as I know.

You'll have to change your keys, or at the very least switch the immobolizer chip inside of the keys I think NJTsxman did the Accord FOB key mod courtesy of Moda_way at the same time when he did his.

^^Im guessing WVT has the 05 5at?

does anyone have any idea if Hondata is even developing the 05 AT reflash? Or have they moved on to the SI and put the TSX on the back burner?

If I remember one of Doug's posts correctly, I think they were considering just saving some research time and having an entire 04-to-05 ECU swap (not reflash) available for 2005 5AT owners.

I saw that, I was hoping this would not be the case, as the cost will basically become prohibitive (+$1000 for ECU and reflash). Its a little illogical to me to pay $500+ more for the same gains everyone else is getting. But I see the scenario above as the most probable. Who knows, I still may end up doing it anyways.

Something tells me that with the SI is coming, the cost/benefit of research time on the 05/06 5AT TSX wouldn't be as great as the cost/benefit for the SI release (as well as SI sedan). There's just much bigger potential market and hence more money there. Doug would be smarter to invest time there...sad for us, but it makes sense.

Im still holding out hope that it 5AT will be reflashed just like your 6MT, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Don't get too distraught, guys. As I understand, Hondata was looking for a 5AT test car to test the reflash with, so my assumption is that they are just working out the bugs and making sure it is working properly before they make the release.

There was some discussion about it in this thread. Getting smogged may also be one of the obstacles. I hope it's eventually released for you guys though
