Weighed My Car For New G-Tech

I weighed at a local grain elevator. With a full tank of gas and me in the car (I weigh 210), scaled out at 3,420 lbs. That's pretty much right on the money with the curb weight of 3230 for an '04 6mt. I was weighing to enter car weight into my new G-Tech Pro SS. I'm looking forward to using it, posting some results, and having Joerockt question all the numbers and call me names!

at the Joerocket comment.

Yeah, that that Gtech Pro SS looks really cool! I thought about getting one before, but I think I have enough electronics for now. Can't wait to see the results though!

How about some pics and maybe even a short video clip

I figured as tough as the AZ crowd can be, even if I just change my shirt I can do a run with the G-Tech and post the results.

I have done 0-60 runs with both G-tech and an OBD2 scan tool (it comes with a 0-60 program). Let me tell you the end results were very close.

You have the G-tech RR, don't you? Do you find it useful at all for horsepower/torque measurements vs. chassis dyno? If not for absolute numbers, for changes as a result of mods?

Here's a photo of my install, it's in the perfect spot to be unobtrusive, easy to see the shift lights, and -- best of all -- it blocks my view of the intermittent check engine light (from my Random cat)! Easier than the plug anti-fouler, plus it has accelerometers.

No, I have an earlier model. I did the comparision out of curiosity to verify the numbers. The G-tech should be good enough to monitor changes in mods. I have another PC based scan tool which has various performance measuring programs including hp & tq. I just need to find time to play with it. It should be a little more accurate as it taps into the ECU and reads the actual sensors.
