Warning on Clutch Kit

Greetings!!

I just in the middle of changing my clutch at the acura shop. I receive a call today that the kit I installing cannot fit. My kit is Exedy #08806 and we found that it will not fit the oem flywheel . I just bought the Exedy #HF02 flywheel to make it fit. The actual pressure plate is smaller that the oem. So I need to wait until monday to finish the install.
What can I expect when using a ligther flywheel??
I later found that Daikin just release the oem kit HCK1010.

I let you know the final chapter of this thing.

Thanks to all

I had to change the flywheel too. The car feels very light and get to the rpms quickly. Take off from a stand still is quicker and more responsive. Just a little more pressure on the clutch.

Sorry to bring back an old thread but I'd love to know a little more.

I am going to have to get a new clutch very soon Is the Exedy #08806 comfortable yet still really grippy? I don't want my leg to fall off in traffic, but I'd also LOVE to put a clutch in that will LAST.

Any additional problems in the install process other than the flywheel issue?

No problems at all. Just a little stiff but not hard. You will feel a lot of traction when shifting.

I've always been told its much easier to stall with a lightweight flywheel, did you stall at all after having it put on? any regrets?

No regrets. It feels awesome. You can feel that the engine goes to the rpms quickly and help you shift nicer too.

kendroz,

Are you still happy with your exedy stage1 / lighweight flywheel setup? I am thinking about doing the same.

Any disadvantage at all? Is shifting still smooth and easy?

Any tips/recommendations?

My car is mostly stock, by theway.

Thanks!
