Vtec air fuel controller from apexi. You can control your fuel and air ratio, vtec switch over point and monitor your engine. Its a piggy back computer that allows you to "tune" the car.

I'd definitely try the vtec point at 5k. Doug from hondata said he believed that was a very viable spot. Also dyno..dynos dynos, the more you can get the better. Here's hoping to some big hp numbers.

honestly 4-7 whp the part im looking for most is to stay in the vtec longer than 1000 rpm. maybe bring it down to like 5 or 4800...that would be a nice switchover point.

the vtec controller to put it midly is essentially like have an onboard ecu...it relocates is and aloows for mild changes honestly the vtec controller wont really affect your car much with simple bolt ons.....it is used to tune and moderate vtec..yes but until u either turbo or go all motor...cams..pulleys and upthe fuel output there isnt going to be that much of a difference....as far as changing the vtec engagement point itcan be a really touchy subject when i had done it in my previous car it would bog down...b/c of the ecu thinking vtec engagement earlier it sends more fuel...say good by to mpg...anyways the best thing about it is the vacuum lit display...it rocks..best luck to u stokeless i have installled afew and the newer the car the harder it is to get everything tuned right so expect some play time...and beware the blue and white wires...

there is no splicing...i dont need to worry bout any wires...i spliced one in before and it didnt work because of the throttle input and output...freak damn drive by freakin wire. I had on on my last car as well built GSR turbo it helped me get 55 more hp to the wheels. like i said im not looking to huge gains 4-7 hp isnt bad. and moveing the vtec down ....well thats hondata's idea so im gonna try it. it cant hurt to try u know. I know my hondas so dont worry i will get more hp out of this u have all seen my last dyno. if i can get more hp than comptech with less mods i think i know what im doing. Done.

yeah there is more than peak hp gains, although you should see a few. If you can lower the vtec point succesfull you can gain a lot of area under the curve which will really help acceleration runs. one thing the v-afc can't do that hondata can is adjust the cam angle to make the i-vtec more aggressive. Still I owuldn't be surprised to see 10hp to the wheels and some meaty midrange gains if the vtec poitn can be lowered.

Seeing as how you really need to tune the ECU to get the most gain from a forced induction setup I'd wait for Hondata for that as well. Better get some nitrous if you can't stand the wait! LOL

If you got the cash and can do some down time on your car I'm sure a lot of shops would love to do a custom setup on a TSX. If you looking for Bolt on I bet it will still be a while. Turbo would be nice though!

It's all about not putting down more boost than the motor can handle and having really good air/fuel management. The rest is just plumbing. Custom setups are pretty common and if you have a good shop do the work you won't have any problems
