It's best just to trade in your car for a MT, but with all your mods, I guess it would be a heavy predicament.

Yup, and your best bet is to ask a local shop or your local Acura dealer.

If you buy directly from Honda they will rape you. Your better off trying to find a used tranny (maybe from an accident salvage or something like that).

yea.. i got 18k miles and a few suff put in.. i think i wanna keep it, jus do the swap.. ive seen it done alot at clubrsx.com, maybe swap for the jdm accord tranny.. is it any diff? i kno the gear ratios was a big issue over at the other website when they compared the two.... in reality i really miss driving manual (i miss it enuff to swap).. I kno people who tradded there car in payed 3-5 grand and got the manual version of their car.. but i think i can get the job done around 2 grand.. ill ask the dealer tom..

I am stuck with my 6MT ABP TSX....originally I wanted an CG Automatic and thought I could live with driving a 6MT. I made a mistake buying it...not much I can do now. I am planning on driving it for another two years and get something nicer when I trade in my TSX.

I doubt you can get it done for just 2 grand - even a salvage 6MT will probably be at least 1K and then you have to add the clutch pedal inside and all of the other stuff related to the clutch. Then you have to mod the center console. Regardless of how well a swap is done I'd probably never buy a car that had it's tranny moded - so you're looking at more depreciation. Whenever this topic comes up the answer is the same - trade the AT in for an MT one, or even better, look to swap with someone who regrets getting an MT ( a few of these folks around).

Don't forget that the ECU's are different between the AT and MT so there's another $600-$1000. Your dashboard would also look stupid with the AT gear pattern still there so you'd have to look for a new gauge cluster as well.

You're better off trading cars with Agent Chen.

Why didn't you just wait for an MT in the first place?
