Tinting in SoCal

Does anyone know a good place In SoCal that will be willing to tint even the front windows at a good price?

tint

Thers a place called ABSOLUTE TINTING in S.D. They did mine and it is great! They are the ones the local Mercedes and BMW dealers send their cars too. They use Titanium tint and mole skin on the inside to prevent scratching. Mine looks really nice! I got the notch up from Limo on my black with black interior...looks awesome! Givem a call!

Cheers!

I recall someone recommended a tint shop in San Gabriel on San Gabriel Blvd. north of Valley Blvd. I can't find the thread but I didn't search too carefully. The post was around 4-5 months ago.

Are you talking about the front windshield or the front driver and passenger windows? Most shops will tint the front driver and passenger windows. If you're talking about the front windshield, most shops won't do it. Their reasoning is usually because there is too many electronics under the dash in the modern cars, they're afraid that when they spray the water on the windshield, the water may drip and eventually get into the electronics and mess things up. Plus it's definitely illegal.

the place I recommend going is called California Tint. Just about half mile north of Valley Blvd on Rosemead, if you are heading north from Valley, the shop will be on your left hand side. There's another place on the same streete Rosemead called Pro Tint, but they're much more expensive. I got my tint done there, I'll see if I can find their telephone # when I get home tonight.

Kai,

On your install, did they do moleskin? The only thing that's keeping me from tinting my windows is reading the threads here and hearing people say that their tint has been scratched.

no i didnt, although it's been 1 year since I first got my tint and I do not see any scratches on my tints. There are 2 types of tints at california tint, one is regular, the other is "titanium", I was told by the shop owner that titanium tints are more reflective and a lot tougher, so maybe that's why the tints arent scratched up. It's $20 addtional if you go with titanium, or you can ask the shop owner if they install moleskins.

I just got my front 2 window tints removed for court this wednesday, then I'm heading back to california tint this weekend to have the fronts put back again if any of you are interested, we can set up a time and meet up there, might get a group discount. either pm me or post your reply

by the way Cobalt, very good choice on the NBP tsx and welcome to the forum

Thanks Kai,

Actually, I got a CG, not NBP. The picture I have as my Avatar is some funny picture domn posted as the "TSX STi". I just thought it'd be funny. I am VERY interested in getting some tint done over at California tint and would be interested in a group buy. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I'll be able to do it until the end of this month. Let me know though.
