Sun Shade

Ok, I want to find a good sun shade to protect my car, but I don't want a huge thing to do it.

Has anyone out there seen a good sun shade that folds up very compactly?

Here is a product that I have seen:

but this is dumb since it is permanantly attached.

What do you use out there?

By the way, I know that this is not perfomance exactly, but this seemed like the best place to put this post.

Look for a Covercraft UVS100. There are a number of online shops that sell them. I have have one for my BMW for several years and bought one for all the other family cars this Spring. They are custom made to fit each model car.

My Acura dealer sells the covercraft. It rolls up and is a pretty nice setup.

These seem pretty nice as well, in both roll-up and accordion styles: http://www.carcoversdirect.com/windo...=58&action.y=7

Personally, I just use one of these in a jumbo size: http://www.axius.com/html/products/s...des_fabric.htm Costs about $12 at Pep Boys and I toss it when it wears out. It's available in either reflective or plain fabric coating. Doesn't fit perfectly around the mirror but combined with the visors does an excellent job of blocking sun. It collapses down to a disc about 12" across, and I just slide it between the center console and the passenger seat for storage. Here in LA, I like to put it up all the time when I park outside, so having something so easy to collapse and stow is more important to me than having something that is a perfect fit but never gets used because it's always in the trunk.

Same here except that I bought mine at a garage sale for $1.00. Its amazing how well it fits the windshield with the outside two panels folded.
