So I installed a Apexi intake

I just wanted to pass along that the apexi power intake is worth every dollar you spend on it. Fantasic fit, incredible quality, significant gains (buttdyno) and a nice audible sound as well. It's a short ram intake so it's a bit on the loud side but only when you want it to be. It's quality surpasses AEM by a longshot but the japanese instructions were a tad annoying. I've had very noticeable gains in the 3-5k range which is more useable power for me than the 5k+range.

Anyway just figured I'd pass along my positive expereince with this particular intake.

I'll get some pix up this weekend. Oh and contrary to popular belief this intake actually does require the use of instructions to install. It's 2 custom bracket locations would give you a headache if you tried installing it without proper instructions.

Kit includes 7-8inch pipe, filter, and 2 support brackets. It's a pretty simple setup yes.

nice and simple! the p2r throttle body spacer and gaskets would serve you well here.

you would further reduce intake temps and move your filter a bit further away from engine heat

I like the Apexi as well. Have it on my car for 2.5 years now. DIY's a handmade rubber-lined aluminium airbox for it, so that only cold air gets to the filter.
