Skunk2 70mm Throttle Body for K Series
Just got an email from KingMotorSports about the Skunk2 70mm throttle body for the K series. Is this going to work on our cars?

funny you post this as I was reading some on the skunk 2 car yesterday. I've also had drive by wire vehicles in the past and have done some manipulation.
why can;t we just move the stock throttle body and use the skunk with an actual wire? what i mean is on dakota's some people would remove the throttle blade and mount the dbw throttle body somewere else like the fire wall in the fender etc. then just run a second cable off the pedal to a traditional TB. They would just use no sensors on the traditional tb and mybe adjust the pcm if need be with self imputed tps values.
something to consider?

The TSX ECU is way too complicated for that to ever work. IF you were to rig something like that up it get totally confused by the fact the values weren't changing with RPM and throw up a CEL while dropping the engine into limp mode. People have swapped out ECUs with the non-DBW Accord ECU and then put in regular cable actuated TBs but you have to build a custom harness to run a dual ECU so your dash still works. You loose things like VSA and cruise control in the process too. IIRC this was done for a pure track application to allow the use of k-pro before it became available for the TSX a short time ago. It's not a practical solution for a road driven vehicle.

ya i got this email from king motor sports too... was curious about the throttle body too....
but i think right now the straight bolt-on throttle body upgrade is for the 04-05s to upgrade to 06-08 if i remember right. the diameter is slightly larger on the newer TSXs.
