Short shifter help?

Short shifter help?

Ok, i am stuck on this step. how did you get these out ?

You don't need to get those out if you use the Neuspeed method. It's much easier.

yes, use the metal block that cam with the kit, thats what its for,

cant use the metal block if i use the alternative directions. anyway got it. it's great!
I don't know what you guys are talking about the knotchy shifting...mine was knotchy before and is now very smooth. Im happy and want to go drive.

I was able to. You still need to unbolt the entire assembly and then you simply turn it a little sideways. It still takes some serious pressure. I got it off from the passenger side.

I can't see if you did in the pic or not, but disconnect the connecting rod on the left side as well.

thanks for the help. used a freakin flathead screwdriver and popped the crap out of it from underneath. I never did get that clip off, but is is scratched to hell now.

I used a pair of vice grips and pulled as hard as I could. I couldn't remove the black piece on the other one. That's when I decided to use the Neuspeed method everyone talked about.

So are you up and running?

running and shifting....me likey! I was using the vice grips until my fingers hurt. that's when i ran inside crying and got on the computer. it's like having a little honda angel on my shoulder. I broke one end of the cotter piece and wrapped the other end around, and i never really had to take it out (which was a total bitch anyway).
