what are my best options i've searched but didnt come up with the answers i wanted, and i dont really want the ceramic coated..thanks in advance for your opinions

 

Race header or just a header?

I know Hytech and various other JDM ones are out there. There are fitment issues because you will have to get the ID right with a test pipe or custom exhaust. There are plenty of after market makers for a header (Comptech for Stainless Steel, etc).

 

I think WeaponR makes a race header for TSX, but try searching for more info in terms of quality and durability.

hytech, six sigma, depends on what type of racing application you want these guys can build to your specs but it will cost you major $$$

 

im looking for race headers, and one more question..since i have an 06 will the 04-05 headers have any fitment issues?

 

Well, what Moda just said.

First, it's header, not headers. Second, Race Header eliminate the need of catalyst convertor by replacing it w/ a TestPipe or their own cat (attached as a whole piece on the header. However, most (not all) race header that are out on the market is designed for the CL7 Euro-R, therefore fittment is an issue. You might also need to replace your exhaust in order to fit the Race Header.

Hytech, Maxim, SSR is your other choices, but Hytech will need you replace w/ their exhaust too. All these headers are proven to have solid HP/TQ gain over DC or Comptech sport header. They are not cheap as well (most over a grand), haven't heard anyone tried the Weapon-R Race Header, I doubt it's just another replica (probably DC RSX version) from other company.
