With an automatic transmission. Is the shift stem strong enough for me to clamp a vice grip onto it with a lot of pressure (the small part right below the stock shift knob) so that I can twist off the shift knob without bending the stem or anything inside? (For ex, the shift stem isn't like hollow inside or something that if I put a clamp on it it would break right?)
