2008 Tsx engine swap into a 2004

I did a few searches and haven't really found my answer. To do this swap, mechanically I'm certain it will all fit together. My question is how to get it running properly addressing the updated Ecu, tcs, and other gadgets the newer models have that are different from the 04-05.
Anyone have any itemized list of what it takes to make that engine work in a 04?

Thanks

Why would you want to do this? I think it would be cheaper (definitely easier) to just go ahead and buy a used '08.

If you need a new engine, installing a 2006-2008 TSX engine is a great idea.

You could swap in a 2006 TSX ECU but you would be ahead of the game swapping in a 2007-08 TSX ECU with the Hondata cable adapter.
Then you could run FlashPro which would be an excellent idea.

If you don't need a new engine but just want to make more power, I would recommend keeping your 2004 engine, adding bolt-ons, a 2007-08 TSX Ecu and then Flashpro.

This is a bad idea for a variety of reasons. He'd not only never get a dime back of what it would cost to do, the car would most likely be worth less when he was done. With so many things electronically controlled, who would want to take the chance that something was wasn't screwed up (which you can almost guarantee would be)?

If this is the case, then maybe just a long block swap would work, but a complete 04 would be a bolt in. I wouldn't trust that a complete engine from any other model year wouldn't give him problems. That said, he's screwed no matter what he does (on resale)(sorry to sound harsh) if it isn't done by an Acura or Honda dealer. Just think about (honestly) what you're reaction would be if you were a potential buyer.

With 2000 posts on this forum your comments are surprising... Perhaps read my post again...

Some of us are very technically skilled and have no issues swapping engines with a better model to gain an increase in power. We are skilled enough to know exactly what we are doing without screwing things up.
Some of us are also more ambitious than just leaving any car stock or just taking it to the dealer when anything goes wrong.

Swapping TSX's ECU's is very straightforward. Read the TSX section of the Hondata website for more info.
Especially note FlashPro ECU tuning for the 1st Gen TSX.
