RealTime TSX Intake
I remember seeing a picture of the RT TSX Intake. Does anyone have a bit more infomation about that? Would it be more effective if an intake like that was reproduced? I have access to a metal fabrication shop and if it's more practical to just no spend money and build a CAI then I might was well do that, especially if there are better performance gains. Maybe stick the HKS Megaflow Intake on that bad boy.
Just an idea, any input?

Like this?
Well, this is basically the stock intake box modded at the top (see the carbon fiber area?). The location of this box will require the relocation of the battery. Plus it draws air from the right most (look at the front from the front) of the lower grill.
I don't know if it is more effective (it's probably is due to shorter pipe), but I would imagine that it may not work that well in a street car. In a race car, it may work well because there is more space in the engine bay due to some removal of unnecessary stuffs.

The picture didn't look like that. It looked like a larger intake was stuck onto the manifold. maybe it wasn't the TSX? I just remember someone posted it up on this forum.

There is room for improvement in the CAI systems that are available on the market so try out your DIY intake and see how you do. Be sure to post dynos when you have something though.

Those ITR's were sick! The Realtime guys are still a force to be reckoned with but they've been heavily handicapped in the series. It makes for great racing but you're not going to see an orange and white car on the podium at every event.
