I just have to ask, what exactly is this supposed to do? How exactly does this improve performance? It says it's a chip, but this looks like a wire to me. I think it's a total scam. They can't even spell stuff right. Better to set your money on fire than send it to these guys.

What a joke. If you buy that, you might as well get the gas saver as well. Jeez

I think if you search the internet in general about these, you discover they basically do nothing...

do or do not, there is no why.

you just have to accept that an insulated wire, and a cheap one at that, isn't going to add HP to your car. otherwise it'd be selling for hundreds of dollars. like a hondata.

It's just a wire with a resistor, and it changes the voltage your computer gets from the (air sensor?). So once your computer realizes what is going on, it fixes it. You might get 2 hp for about 2 minutes, after that - its just a wire that gets hot, and your computer changes everything back to normal to compensate.

Don't buy the thing.

Why? Because they want to take your money. That's why.

I really getting tired of people thinking everything on ebay is safe, or legit. Simple as this ebay you have to beware theres alot of scams going around, and bullcrap stuff that try to sell.

If the guy couldnt spell the diagram right and theres no picture i' jsut think its more bs.

here's the deal: the "chip" is a resistor. half of the people on ebay selling this don't know what the value is. several people on this board have posted temp/resistance curves of the stock air intake temp sensor. for the ebay sellers who were willing to say what color bands were on the resistor, the performance chip is basically tricking the ecu into thinking its somewhere around 0-20 degrees F, causing the ECU to advance timing and drop more fuel because it is expecting air with a higher oxygen content, momentarily producting more horsepower. obviously on a 90 degree day, this readings are way out of whack. immediately after, you have one of the following conditions: detonation or check engine light.
