Possiblity of swapping ECUs

Well, as many of you may know that NightHawkCL9 is selling his car. His ECU has been Hondatafied and I was wondering is it possible to do an ECU swaps? I'm asking cuz we go to the same school and I wouldn't have to ship out the ECU.
If it's possible what would need to be swapped?

It's possible but requires a lot of work including coding the immobilizer and ECU again for your friend's car. For you, it requires a key from your friend along with the ECU and immobilizer. You then send your friend's key along with a regular copy of your key and an Accord keyfob to moda_way to do the transplant. It's been done before.

As JTSO indicated, it can be done... I've tried it myself. I have an hondata ecu on an 05 TSX. Anyway.... As long as you both have 6MT's... you can just swap the immobilizer and ecu out.. Then you'll need one of his keys so you can do the accord keyfob mod with a cut of your ignition key and the transponder chip inside one of his keys.. Contact Moda_way for the surgery.. he's the man.

Geesh... all the publicity... I love it.

Definitely easy enough to do if you are interested. NJTSXMan knows all about it as he said.

So do both sets of ECUs, keys and immobilizers have to make a stop at Hondata? ...could this be an option for those people with the "base" Hondata reflash who are planning to get the S/C?

NJTSXMan would be the best to answer as he did the process.

How did u get hondata for 05? I thought it was only available for 04.

If its possible for the 05, this means u can also get the S/C for it.

nicee...
